Essential Spa & Body Treatments

The perfect day spa experience is one based on a person's personal needs. A great experience should focus on the physical, just as much as the mental. It's meant to help ease your mind and body.

Everyone is different. We stress different. We experience things different because of our everyday routines.

What to think about when choosing the right day spa treatment

There are a few important factors to take into consideration when picking your spa treatment. What kind of shape are you in? Is there any pre-existing health condition? Do you have any allergies? Do you have any aches, pains, or stiff muscles? What is your level of tolerance for pain? A person's gender?

Remember, a great expert/masseuse should ask you all these questions prior to beginning your session.

Communication is key!

Communication is essential with your spa professional to ensure you receive the best result and experience. Make sure you inform your masseuse if your level of comfort or tension changes. If you start to feel uncomfortable, let them know. They aren't you so they can't read your mind. Trust me, they'll appreciate your feedback!

Tour the spa facilities

Ask for a tour around the spa (if it isn't already offered to you prior to your treatment). Take advantage of any and all amentities offered. Most spa's will have a sauna or steam room, a comfy lounge with yummy, healthy snacks and refreshments. Some spa's will have jacuzzi's and mineral pools. The more expensive locations will even have a mud room, which is really great for your skin! You can also buy packages that offer multiple services and/or lunch.

It is most definitely worth exploring and taking advantage of all the services offered. ENJOY!
